Rated among the top third of long-term care facilities in the nation, Grand Traverse Medical Care at the Grand Traverse Pavilions has the capacity to provide 24-hour skilled nursing care as well as a broad range of therapeutical, recreational, and nutritional services. The Pavilions houses 221 long-term care residents. Accommodations for residents are within centrally-located residential neighborhoods. Each neighborhood - or Pavilion - is named after the trees on the park-like campus. For example, there are Aspen, Birch, Cherry, Dogwood, Elm and Maple Pavilions. Private and semi-private suites offer handicap-accessible showers, breathtaking views of courtyards and terraces, and convenient access to Main Street, an exquisitely-decorated common area that connects each Pavilion to a community dining room, cafeteria and multi-purpose room. Grand Traverse Pavilions offers a varied-age constituency a broad range of health care and residential programs and services. As parent organization, The Pavilions has five primary components: Grand Traverse Medical Care, Intergenerational Community Center, Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation, The Cottages: Adult Residential Community; and the Aquatic/Wellness Center. The Pavilions is the region's only nonprofit, intergenerational continuum of care community. Programs and services range from adult day and overnight respite, to child care, long-term skilled nursing, therapy services, and Alzheimer’s and related dementia care, to supported and assisted living.
