Our Eden Alternative Guides are experienced facilitators of deep culture change in long-term care communities. They provide objective advice, expertise and specialized skills. They demonstrate their value through interpersonal relationships and skill building that maximizes the growth of your culture change journey through the Eden Alternative philosophy.

These guides work with you to deeply imbed the Ten Eden Principles with your vision, mission, and values as the foundation of change. They focus on personal growth, team development, and organizational transformation. They identify options with recommendations, provide additional resources, and facilitate the implementation of solutions. We have guides with expertise in a wide variety of service/professions that will assist in meeting your needs.

Just a few roles the guides fill are:

• Building interpersonal relationships within the community
• Integrating your vision and values into everything you do
• Conducting learning circles to interview organization's employees, management team, and other stakeholders
• Facilitating workshops on the Eden Philosophy and skills needed for success in a person-directed culture
• Conducting team and organizational analysis
• Formulating and facilitating the implementation of recommendations and solutions
• Following up on projects and programs through a quality improvement process

Guiding is essentially project-based. Projects vary in complexity, length and scope tailored to the needs of the organization. They involve an individuals or a large team; at one site or many; with the same campus or across international borders.
