Brown Memorial Home in Circleville, Ohio, joined the Eden Registry on July 12, 2017.  This faith-based, historical home located in downtown Circleville is home to 54 Elders.  Created in 1894 by six valiant women that saw a need for residents requiring health care services. Once known as a hospital and an orphanage, it has since grown into a home where people live and thrive. Today, Brown Memorial Home carries on the tradition of compassion in a family setting.

The employee care partners maintain the highest standards for care through continuing education, deep meaningful relationships, and most of all, a commitment to the well-being for all. Elders enjoy being located in the heartbeat of the city, where they have full access to all that Circleville has to offer, especially the local candy shop. The Elders and employee care partners are all about creating close, continuing, and special relationships. They do this by dividing in to smaller neighborhoods with consistent staff assignments.  By becoming well-known to each other, they can be sure days and evenings are filled with activities that are meaningful to each individual. Some Elders enjoy sleeping in and having a leisurely breakfast, while others rise and shine and get the day going. Either way, you can be sure that they have plenty of options when they arrive in the dining room.  Each week there are plenty of opportunities to connect with the larger community, such as bible studies with the full time chaplain, playing cards, or sitting in the parlor with friends having a cup of coffee.  Summertime is lots of fun because there are spontaneous BBQ’s, gardening in the raised garden beds, and plenty to do outside. If you come for a visit in October, you will want to stay for the largest pumpkin festival in the country.
