Conference Information


We use photographs and video from our conferences for promotional materials. By virtue of your attendance, The Eden Alternative reserves the right to use your likeness in such materials. And we promise to always use your good side!


Please wear your badge at all times. Your registration name badge is your admission ticket to all sessions, events, and meals.


Dinner is on your own each night. Buckhead is known for its hot trendy food scene. Enjoy an array of options within close proximity of the conference hotel.


Conference participants will need to make their own overnight lodging accommodations directly with The Westin Buckhead Atlanta. Overnight lodging is not included in your conference registration fee. For details regarding how to make your overnight lodging accommodations, see page 36 of this brochure.


We strongly encourage attendees to wear comfortable shoes. To also ensure your comfort, please plan to dress in layers as conference room temperatures are difficult to regulate to each individual‘s preference. Business casual attire is appropriate for this conference.


Individuals with special dietary restrictions will need to indicate their preferences in their registration application. Those who require special accommodations to fully participate in this conference should contact The Westin Buckhead Atlanta directly, 501-906-4000.


We are reducing the amount of paper we use at the conference. This is an effort both to be responsible for our environment and to increase the quality and timeliness of the resources provided through this learning experience. Electronic materials will be available before, during, and after the conference. Stay tuned for details. Hard copies will not be available on-site.


Our 2018 Conference APP is now available for free downloading!  Search for Edenalt2018 in your APP store.  Make sure you choose to receive push notifications for important conference updates. The 2018 Eden Alternative International Conference APP will be your official navigation system before, during, AND after the conference. Once it’s downloaded, you will be able to access conference updates, find and learn about conference educational sessions, sponsors, exhibitors, special events, and the opportunity to connect to your social networks, as well as other user-friendly features. After the conference, the APP will continue to alert you to practical tips and suggestions uploaded periodically by The Eden Alternative.


The application process for continuing education units for this conference is underway. There is a total of 20.0 contact hours being offered during the conference, including all educational sessions, opening and closing sessions, and the ChangingAging Tour sessions on Saturday. For administrators, this program has been submitted (but not yet approved) for Continuing Education for a total of 20.0 participant hours by NAB/NCERS. For nurses, an application has been submitted to the Maryland Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. For social workers, application has been made with the National Association of Social Workers for 20.0 continuing education contact hours. The fee for continuing education credits is included in the general registration fee. Continuing education certificates will be emailed within two weeks of the conclusion of the conference. You must fill in the continuing education tracking sheet and return to the conference registration desk before leaving the conference.
