Eden Education Corner:
REMINDERS: Ideas to help you warm our soil:
- Look at all situations through EDEN EYES with EDEN GLASSES on FIRST; Don’t look only through the blinders of rules and regulations; think and perceive out of the medical-model box.
- Let your first words to someone ALWAYS cause growth and validation; don’t kill the ideas and efforts of others just because you see or think something different—if you do, our Elders may permanently be robbed of great things.
- Help someone, just because it’s the right thing to do.
- Be happily spontaneous, even though others may think you’re nuts.
- If an Eden intervention has been discovered by someone and it’s working and Elders (and staff) are growing—support it no matter what, at whatever time it may occur. This could become part of an Elder’s plan of care or it could become an Eden family ritual.
- Place the idea of GROWTH at the forefront of all of your thoughts, actions and words.
- In the face of frost, anger, negativity, gossip and hurtfulness, be the bigger person, show love and shine your Eden light, even when your heart is breaking.
