Hear from the Elders that are living in long term care settings and in their own homes. Here are some highlight stories from Elders reflecting on what it means to age, what it is like to live in a home where The Eden Alternative is being brought to light and their stories to help us understand the importance of this journey we are taking together to change the care of Elders in our society.
Definition of an Elder: An Elder is a person who is still growing, still a learner, still filled with potential, and whose life continues to have within it promise for and connection to the future. An Elder is still in pursuit of happiness, joy and pleasure, and their birthright to these remains intact. Moreover, an Elder is a person who deserves respect and honor and whose work it is to synthesize wisdom from long-life experience and formulate this into a legacy for future generations.
