Honoring Passion, Recognizing Champions

We recently heard about two well-deserved recognitions for Eden Registry Members. Piner’s Nursing & Guest Homes in Napa, CA was voted Napa’s best Nursing Home by the Elders of the Napa community! Wesley Meadows Retirement Community in Hernando, MS has once again been voted the best retirement community in their county! We congratulate both communities, and many others who are similarly recognized.

It is time for all those committed to restoring Elderhood and implementing person-directed care to combat the negative press about Eldercare services, for both individuals and organizations providing care services.

There are so many good things happening, yet, we notice that it is difficult to get these amazing individuals and organizations to fill out a nomination form to receive an award. Be a part of recognizing those who are making a difference every day by filling out a nomination form for an Eden Alternative International Award. It is a simple one-page form, yet it means so much to those who are nominated. Nominees do not have to be from an Eden Registry organization and can represent Eldercare services from across the continuum.

There are seven categories for awards:

  • International Eden Elder Award
  • International Eden Employee Care Partner Award
  • International Eden Family Member Award
  • Nancy Fox Leadership Award
  • Master Gardener Award
  • Seedling Award
  • Eden Champion Award

The nominees, and award recipients, will be honored at the 2014 Eden Alternative International Conference in Nashville, TN on May 2, 2014. The deadline for submitting nominees is February 28, 2014. There is no time to waste! Which individuals and organizations will you be nominating today?
