Chateau des Mons, in Englewood, CO renewed their Eden Registry status on March 27, 2012. The Chateau des Mons provides assisted living support to some very active and involved Elders and their families. They have a large open living and dining room area that is busy and occupied throughout the day. Lately, they have all been getting together with Elders and family care partners to plan activities every single day as a team. Heidi plugs their ideas into the calendar so everyone can see their choices and of course they also have tons of spontaneous outings. The Elders really enjoy spontaneous outings or simply meeting with friends and families in the library or the family room. Their summer garden should be getting planted soon. Relationship building and communication is important to everyone as they use Learning Circles and other fun ways to connect people within the community. They have found e-mailing pictures of Elders attending events to be an effective way to keep the family members connected and involved in daily life. The Elders have been presenting at local conferences about life in their home which is bringing new people in to visit. Meaningful things are happening at Chateau des Mons!
