Eben Ezer Lutheran Home in Brush, CO renewed their Eden Registry status on March 9, 2010. The home is divided into four neighborhoods, each with its own unique rhythm of life. The Elders can eat in their neighborhood dining room and order from a menu that includes many options. They can also choose to eat outside, in the sun room or in their own rooms. The Deaconess neighborhood likes to have lots of choices in how they spend their day and they really love to laugh, sing and dance. The Nazareth neighborhood loves to fund raise, cook, take care of the 16 turtles they have in the courtyard and have started a neighborhood happy hour. The Bethany neighborhood is a bit quieter and they pay close attention to new Elders when they move in to help them feel a part of the family. The Sommerlyst neighborhood has its own rummage closet where the Elders can find things to do all day long. The Elders’ families and loved ones are very involved with the home including the running of a Thrift Store which helps raise money for new projects around the home. People from all around the surrounding area come to browse in the Thrift Store. Every summer, the home is host to over 60 volunteers, age 10 and up, who are off of school for the summer. The children make quick friends with the Elders and even come and visit on the weekends during the school year. Life just seems to flow very naturally for everyone at Eben Ezer Lutheran Home.
