Serving Our Veterans At Prairie View Village

Congratulations to our friends at Prairie View Village of Bent County Health Care for being awarded $1,000 from the Colorado State Department of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary (DAVA). Each year, the DAVA State Hospital Chairman selects five state veteran’s homes and one non-state run home to receive the funds. This is the fifth consecutive year that Prairie View Valley has been awarded.

According to the BC Democrat:

Each year, the DAVA State Hospital Chairman selects five state veteran’s homes and one non-state run home to receive the funds. This is the fifth consecutive year that PVV has been awarded.

“It is always an honor to be recognized for our efforts in supporting our veterans. At Prairie View, the veterans we serve really make our home a special place and these funds will help ensure that they are able to receive the support they need,” says PVV Administrator, Candi Patton.

“Since 1922, the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary (DAVA) has partnered with the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) parent organization in their mission of service to disabled veterans and their families. That relationship has continued to flourish and the blended organizations have achieved many victories in their quest to improve the quality of life our veterans rightly deserve.
