Chesapeake Shores, Lexington Park, MD joined the Eden Registry on March 13, 2014.

Nestled in a country setting close to historic St. Mary’s City and the Patuxent Naval Base, Chesapeake Shores is home to 115 Elders.

As you walk down the hallways you will notice the warmth of the hardwood floors and the walls filled with Elders art work. Creating an environment that fosters connectedness in relationships and days filled with meaningful activities is what makes this home so special.

Relationships are cultivated through fun activities and consistent staff assignments. Every day is unique to each Elder as they participate in the activities that they most enjoy. Some favorites include gardening in the raised garden beds, playing card games with friends or participating in the bell choir.

The on staff Chaplain, Pastor Bell, spends his time conducting the bell choir and with anyone in need of spiritual support. Elders are in good company with Care partner employees offering a wide spectrum of expertise, from rehabilitative services and short-term respite care to short and long-term skilled nursing services.  Pet therapy is just another great example of the creative ways that the team at Chesapeake Shores is making each Elder’s life experience unique. This is a community that continues to grow and has bigger dreams yet to come.
