“This experience has been eye-opening and inspiring!”, a quote from one of the participants at the Neighborhood Guide Training in Conneautville, PA. The training was generously hosted by Rolling Fields, an Eden Registry Member. Twenty-four leaders, committed to growing empowered teams, gathered to learn the tools and resources to create deep organizational transformation. The attendees left with tools, materials, resources and a 30-module curriculum that, as one attendee stated, “… are truly useful in building self-managed teams – a true pathway to success!”

It was a week filled with deep discussions about how to change a broken organizational system into a new structure enabling Principle Eight to come to life. The Elders, and those closest to them will be driving the rhythm of daily life within the home under the guidance of these leaders. Although the journey is uncertain, each Neighborhood Guide has been able to uncover the unique gifts, talents and life experiences they bring to make the journey successful for them personally, and grow champions throughout the organization.

“We love all the Elders and the culture that we are creating. It is so refreshing that we finally have support for our care partners to grow in an organized fashion.”

The next Neighborhood Guide Training is scheduled for Louisville, KY starting June 10, 2013. It is not too late to register. If you are working on empowered teams this educational experience will equip formal leaders to be successful!
