Moving from Hallways to Neighborhoods
“I’m sitting in a room in Oklahoma city for a five-day Neighborhood Guide training. We are on day 4 of the training which has created an exhausted group of sixteen that have a new vision. Today, the room is electric! It’s amazing. I can’t wait to get started on our new journey!”
Neighborhood Guides continue to grow in numbers as sixteen Neighborhood Guides have completed a week-long training hosted by Epworth Villa Retirement Community in Oklahoma City, OK. Six of the participants traveled from Christie Gardens Apartments and Care in Toronto, ON, Canada and the other ten represented Epworth Villa. Here are some thoughts about the experience from the participants.
“This training will not only benefit our organization and the Elders, but also the employees and myself as we continue to grow on this journey together. The Neighborhood guide training has provided tools, opened our thought processes and given us the energy to create a fantastic family.”
