We all have our favorite podcasts, right? What’s on your favorites list? What has been missing for us is finally happening: The Eden Alternative is launching its own podcast in January 2025! A few episodes have already been recorded, and we can’t wait to share them with you. See more here.
Why a Podcast?
As we all know, the way we learn is constantly changing. And the opportunity to learn in new and creative ways is vital to staying engaged, growing, and adapting. That’s why we’re bringing you Shaping the Future of Aging, a podcast designed to reflect The Eden Alternative’s core principle: the power of a growth mindset.
Eden Alternative Principle Nine reminds us that to truly thrive, we all need to keep learning, evolving, and embracing new ways of thinking—especially when it comes to aging and living with diverse abilities.
- Podcasting is the perfect way to share our message, inspire people, and challenge conventional views of aging.
- Podcasting offers a platform to help shift mindsets, broaden perspectives, and offer solutions that will resonate with people from all walks of life.
What Can You Expect from Shaping the Future of Aging?
The goal of this podcast is simple: to inform, inspire, and connect. Shaping the Future of Aging is about the stories that can change the way we think about aging and living with different abilities. It’s about how we can do what we’re already doing, but do it differently—more intentionally, more compassionately, and more creatively.
Stories from Eden members, Eden Educators, Eden Associates, and other like-minded individuals and organizations will be shared. Real people who are putting Eden Alternative’s Principles into action every day. We can’t wait to share their stories with you.
Discover More Podcasts in the Community.
As newcomers to podcasting, we’ve been excited to discover other podcasts in the aging and well-being space.

There’s a growing movement in the podcasting world that’s focused on reshaping how we think about aging, dementia, and well-being. We’re thrilled to be part of that conversation!
What’s Coming Up on Shaping the Future of Aging?
The first episode of Shaping the Future of Aging will be officially released on January 16, 2025. We’re kicking things off with a deep dive into the Eden Alternative Domains of Well-Being®. The first episode features a conversation with Suellen Beatty, Joe Angelelli, and Carol Ende—three people who have behind-the-scenes stories about the creation of the Domains and how they’ve evolved over time. It’s an inspiring and insightful conversation that you won’t want to miss!
Future episodes include interviews with individuals who are putting these Domains into practice. They’ll share stories of how strengthening well-being has transformed lives in profound ways.
