Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center in Spring City, TN, joined the Eden Alternative Registry on 12/9/2014.

This is a community that puts relationships above all else. They believe that by making close connections and becoming well known to each other that they can honor the desires of the Elders in a much more meaningful way. To create a sense of smallness they have divided themselves up into 6 vibrant neighborhoods each with its own unique name that suites the culture of the folks living there.

Elder’s choice in dining is honored in every way possible from the use of Elder recipes in the meal planning to the piping hot meals served at any time of day. Much of the activity of the day occurs out the courtyard. Whether it be children playing ball, Elders planting/harvesting fresh vegetables or friends and family relaxing in the warm sun you can be sure they is always something special occurring out there.

The jug band provides hours of entertainment to the home and often travels around the county to local churches to share in the fellowship. If you come for a visit be sure to stay for lunch because you might just get you some stuffed bell peppers, chicken and dumplings and homemade chocolate cake.
