Surrey Place Care Center in Live Oak, Florida joined the Eden Registry on July 31, 2014.

Located on the outskirts of the city limits tucked away under the magnificent oak trees you will find a wonderful place where 60 Elders call home.

If you come for a visit you will be in place where relationships are deep, folks are well known to each other and there is always plenty of meaningful activities. When you come in the front door you enter into the lovely lounge area where you will notice many beautiful pictures, Elders art work and if you are really lucky you will be greeted by Sebastian the resident cat.

Close knit bonds are happening as a result of consistent care partners and the creation of their neighborhoods.  Each neighborhood has its own name, culture, and Elder Chaplain. The Elder Chaplains pray with folks and make themselves available to support anyone in need of spiritual care. The Elders and care partner employee and larger community support each other in times of need.  Recently, with the help of 12 local firemen, they held a car wash to raise money for a special person that needs extra love and support in their home.

When the weather permits it is common to see Elders outside cultivating their gardens, visiting with their neighbors on the swing or relaxing in the gorgeous courtyard gazebo.  Mealtimes offer a chance to gather with neighbors, friends and family and enjoy a hot meal together. If you don’t like what is on the menu you can make a selection from the “always available” menu. So you are certain to always leave satisfied. With all the care and support that goes on in this home it clear to see why Surrey Place Care Center is thriving with abundant joy and happiness.
