The Registry Grows

Mountain City Care & Rehabilitation Center joined the Eden Registry on October 8, 2013. This rural Tennessee home is shared by 120 Elders. They enjoy living in one of three neighborhoods with consistent care partners that foster deep meaningful relationships (and a view of the beautiful Iron Mountain to boot).

On warm days many Elders enjoy therapy outside on the outdoor therapy patio where they can watch the local school children play t-ball or garden in the raised garden beds.

There is much planned to do each day but Elders drive the rhythm of daily life here so if you come for a visit you might see Elders and care partners sitting on the porch singing hymns or enjoying ice cream from the country store. The country store is a popular backyard hangout where Elders and care partners can grab a quick snack and visit with friends.

Elders enjoy mealtime here because breakfast and dinner are served restaurant style while lunch is served buffet style with a wide variety of choices. There is always soft music playing in the back ground and a vase full of flowers on each table. There are always alternatives to any menu and they work hard to make sure all requests are honored each day.  With open hearts and open minds the care partners at Mountain City made a commitment to create well-being for all that live and work there.
