Lexington Manor Senior Care, Lexington, MS joined the Eden Registry on July 31, 2014.

59 Elders call Lexington Manor home. They personalize their individual rooms with items from their previous home and they provide input on the décor throughout the home such as the hardwood floors, paint colors and Elders art work on the walls.  As you walk into each of the three neighborhoods you will get the feeling that you are in a home filled with genuine loving relationships.

You will see Elders visiting with each other in the beauty shop, on the back patio or out in the garden. This year they planted tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers in their raised garden beds. Outside there is a lovely walking path around the property for folks that want to get in a stroll each day.

For those that just want to relax there are plenty of cozy lounging spaces throughout the home or they can go outside and catch some fresh air in the gazebo. They enjoy connecting with the larger community by having a variety of groups and children come by for visits and activities.  The Elders especially love when the children come in and this year they will be giving out school supplies to the children that need a little extra support.

When it is time to hire a new care partner employee Elders are present to participate in the interview process ensuring a great start to deep, meaningful relationships. Elder Rosie says it best “I never feel helpless or bored here; there are plenty of activities to keep me busy. My privacy and decisions are respected at all times. I am so happy to call Lexington Manor my home. “

As the DON at Lexington Manor I am honored to work everyday in our Elder’s home and my goal is to continue to educate myself as well as my staff about Eden.
